Effective Date: May 13, 2026 Zeta Development Team ("we," "us," or "our") takes your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when using the Zeta Emulator app ("the App" or "Zeta"). Please read this policy carefully. Using the App indicates your agreement to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
01

Information We Collect

We follow the principle of "data minimization" and only collect information necessary to provide and improve the App's functionality. Below is a detailed explanation of the types of data we collect and how we collect them.

1.1 Information We DO NOT Collect:

  • To protect your privacy, we explicitly do not collect the following information:
  • Personal identification information: name, address, phone number, email address
  • Your game content: ROM files, game content, game save data
  • Game behavior data: game progress, playtime, operation records, statistics
  • Precise geolocation: GPS coordinates or real-time location data
  • Sensitive personal data: contact lists, photos, health data, financial information
  • User-generated content

1.2 Automatically Collected Technical and Diagnostic Information:

To ensure app stability and improve user experience, we automatically collect the following technical information:

a) Device Information:

  • Device model, OS version, and app version
  • Language, region, and screen resolution
  • IDFV (anonymized in-app identifier, cannot track across apps)

b) App Usage Data:

  • Feature usage frequency and session duration
  • Performance metrics (frame rate, memory, CPU, etc.) for diagnostics and optimization

c) Crash and Error Reports (via Firebase Crashlytics):

  • We use Google Firebase Crashlytics service to automatically collect crash and error information, including:
  • Crash occurrence time and frequency
  • Crash stack traces (technical error logs)
  • Device state at time of crash (available memory, storage space, battery level)
  • Operation sequence before crash (de-identified technical operation records)
  • Operating system and app version information

This crash data is anonymous and does not contain any personally identifiable information. Firebase Crashlytics' data collection and processing complies with Google's privacy policy:

d) Network Information:

  • IP address (used only for server communication, not for user tracking or location)
  • Network type (Wi-Fi, cellular data)
  • Network carrier information (used only for diagnosing connection issues)

1.3 User-Provided Information:

  • In the following situations, you may actively provide us with information:
  • Customer Support: When you contact our customer support, we collect information you provide (problem description, device info, error screenshots, etc.)
  • Feedback and Surveys: If you participate in in-app surveys or submit feedback, we collect opinions and suggestions you voluntarily provide
  • In-App Purchases: Purchase information is processed by Apple; we only receive purchase confirmation information (transaction ID, purchased item, purchase status), not your payment information

1.4 Locally Stored Data:

  • The following data is stored locally on your device, protected by iOS sandbox mechanisms, and we cannot access:
  • Game ROM files
  • Game saves and quick saves
  • App settings and preferences
  • Key configurations and controller mappings
  • Game history and favorites list

This local data is protected by iOS system security; other apps cannot access it. You can delete all local data at any time by deleting the app.

  • Core Data (if applicable): Store game library information and metadata

This data is stored entirely locally on your device and is not automatically transmitted to our servers or third-party services.

10.2 Device Identifiers:

We use the following identifiers for technical purposes:

a) IDFV (Identifier for Vendors):

  • Purpose: Associate crash reports from the same device for easier technical issue diagnosis

  • Not used for: User profiling, cross-app tracking

b) Firebase Instance ID:

  • Purpose: Identify app instances for crash report correlation
  • Characteristics: Randomly generated, anonymous, not associated with personal identity
  • Management: You can reset this ID by reinstalling the app

Regarding Device Fingerprinting and Tracking:

Aside from the anonymous technical data that may be collected by the third-party SDKs disclosed in this policy (such as Firebase), we do not proactively build device fingerprints or cross-site user profiles. Please refer to Section 9 for the specific scope of data collection. We do not use IDFA (Advertising Identifier)
